Radon Testing

Radon is a natural gas that comes from the ground. Radon is colorless, odorless and tasteless; and can not be determined through a visual inspection. Elevated levels of Radon gas have been proven to be a hazard to your health. Because it comes from the ground we usually find it trapped in the basement of a home. A laboratory test must be preformed to determine its presence. We at Roots Home Inspection are fully Licensed to test for Radon.

Radon can be cleared or lessened in a from a home through ventilation. New Jersey standards are high and allow only 4.0 as the level of radon to be considered safe for living.

For all New Jersey home inspections with a basement we recommend a radon test. This testing will be completed during your inspection. When you or your client arranges an inspection with us we can inspect the home/building, radon and termite.
